Typography is at the heart of our AO brand. Our typefaces complement the big and bold stories we have to tell about the Australian Open.
Sharp Sans No.2
Sharp Sans is a clean and clear typeface that is timeless. It can be confident and playful, uncomplicated and elegant – it is unmistakably ‘Australian Open’. Our font plays a crucial role in communicating our values, and ensures a cohesive and consistent brand identity.
Limited use typefaces
Using the correct typeface is key to maintaining brand consistency and reliability. However, there are situations where alternate typefaces may be used.
Sequel Sans Wide is used for campaign collateral. It showcases energy and dynamic movement and complements the AO Brand typeface.
For digital applications, Poppins may be used for body copy only. It's a widely accessible free Google font with similar characteristics of clarity, simplicity and rounded sans serif forms.
For eDMs or internal documents like letters and presentations, it is permissible to use Arial when Sharp Sans is unavailable.
Ping Fang SC Medium is used as the font for official designation connected to our Core Logo in the China market.
FZ Pin Shang Hei S Bold and Light, may be used for collateral in the China market.
